The Managing Director, Mike Everard, graduated from Brunel University and initially worked in industry based research laboratories in the field of artificial intelligence. He specialised in speech and image recognition.

He later worked in the aviation industry, again in research, on the application of speech recognition techniques in the aircraft cockpit.

Later he moved to a commercial environment working in the telecoms industry. There he worked on the design of systems that connect to the local line of telephone exchanges, ie the copper customer connection. He developed an RF system to allow two subscribers to obtain normal telephone service over a single exchange twisted pair line. This system was manufactured for BT and was fitted to many tens of thousands of subscriber lines in the days when there was a shortage of underground copper lines.

In 1981 he established his first design consulancy and later set up production facilities. He assisted many companies in the design and production of a wide range of systems.

During his work as a consultant he has designed:

• A Telephone Line Modem
• Control Boards for Air Conditioning Systems & Dehumidifiers
• A Display System for Public Queue Control in Banks and Building Societies
• Power Supplies and Video Processing Units for Security Systems in Banks and Building Societies
• An Audio Distribution System in a Studio Environment
• Various Video Systems for a large Information Display Network
• Part of an RF Network that allowed specialised data transmission for application specific needs
• Point Of Sale Security Equipment
• Many miscellaneous One-Off Special systems too numerous to mention.
